The program is designed to provide a nurturing environment for artistic expression and creativity for children who are interested in the arts. This program is not a good fit for children who are not interested in the arts.Children 4.5 years to 12 years. Breakfast, lunch, snack, field trips and supplies are included in the price of enrollment. Sessions start to fill by early February – enroll early. Siblings receive a 25% discount. Financial aid available.
Summer Symphony

Wind, percussion and strings students of all levels are invited to spend the summer strengthening their technical and musicianship skills through fun repertoire. Play in large and small ensembles, participate in music theory workshops, and work with top Boston musicians during master classes. Also, families and students are invited to attend the Landmarks Orchestra’s July concert as special VIP guests. The program ends with a performance of all ensembles for a public audience.FREE TO BPS STUDENTS!

Summer Stage

Singers and performers of all backgrounds, experience and abilities are invited to join us for Summer Stage! This unique program unites three disciplines- vocal music, creative movement and theatre arts- into fun classes designed to make you a stronger performer. At the end of the program, share your skills during an original show created just for Summer Stage students by a local professional artist.FREE TO BPS STUDENTS!

Dance Now!

BPS and Celebrity Series of Boston come together again to present Dance Now!, our summer dance intensive. Under the direction of Artistic Director Mila Thigpen, students of all abilities will take a variety of dance technique classes, engage in team building and personal development workshops, and participate in a final performance. Faculty from Celebrity Series and BPS will tailor the curriculum to give middle school students a challenging dance experience and help prepare them for further training at the high school level.FREE TO BPS STUDENTS! SummerMUSIC

SummerMUSIC is a unique, culturally enriching four-week summer program which offers individual attention, group instruction, and multiple opportunities for developing skills and self-expression. Young musicians entering the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grades with at least one year of string or wind instruction will enjoy an exciting summertime experience while they study their instrument under our wind & string faculty. Reduced tuition may be available.
SummerARTS

SummerARTS celebrates community, friendship, artistic development and self-expression. Every day classes are offered in singing music and playing instruments, as well as visual art, movement and dance, and creative dramatics culminating in a final performance. Ages 4-14. 9:00-12:00 or 2:00. Reduced tuition may be available.
KidsArts! Summer program provides the opportunity to enjoy exceptional programming and enrichment in a safe, fun and supportive environment. Each week students explore a theme through dance, drama, music and the visual arts. They will experiment with materials, tools, techniques and processes that enhance the communication of ideas through art. Students engage in field trips, indoor, outdoor and water play. Each week culminates with a performance and exhibition for the families.Students ages 6-11 (students must be 6 years old and have completed K2). 8:00 am – 4:00 or 6:00 pmWeekly themed sessions
Kids...Together in the ArtsWe are professional artists, educators, and performers collaborating to bring our art to school-aged children in a summer program. Each day we will engage the children in visual arts, music, drama and dance. At the end of each week there will be a final performance.: 6-13 years old. 8:30-3:30 or 5:30
Big Picture Art HousePhotographer Jennifer Connelly started Big Picture in the spring of 2011. Big Picture teaches photo and film to youth in the Boston area.Workshops are for 6th-11th graders (mature 5th graders considered). Class runs from 9:30-3:30, Monday - Friday at Big Picture Teaching Space. Pick up and drop off offered at "the monument" in JP at 9:15 and 3:45. Snacks are provided; students bring lunch or lunch money. 7 students max per class, one on one attention provided. Students leave with a CD of their photos during photo weeks and complete a final edited movie during film weeks.

Our popular Summer Program for Children combines creativity and hands-on fun. Our classes are small with lots of attention for each child. All levels are welcome. Each week is different. Sign up for one or many.Ages 6-14. We process registrations strictly on a first-come first-served basis. As classes are both small and popular, they can fill up quickly. You may wish to give a second or third choice in the Comments box on your registration form in case your first choice is full. To be honored, registration must be accompanied by full payment. Scholarships are available to low-income students from schools participating in our School Partnership Program. We consider other scholarship applications on a case-by-case basis.Six Weekly Sessions
