Camp Shriver is: For Boys and Girls, AGES 8—12; FREE (after a $25 registration fee); Includes FREE breakfast, lunch, snacks and camp gear; Includes FREE TRANSPORTATION from designated pick-up/drop-off sites in several area communities; Provides sports instruction in soccer, swimming, basketball and more; Inclusive: 50% of campers are children with a disability and 50% are children without a disability.Camp Shriver is held at UMass Boston for three weeks, Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 2:00pmApplications due April 1, 2017
Boston Centers For Youth & Families (BCYF) is committed to providing high quality programming for Boston residents of all ages and abilities. To this end, BCYF offers Camp Joy for Boston residents ages 3 to 22 with disabilities and their siblings 3 to 7 years old. The four-week summer camp provides structured, daily opportunities for participants to make new friends, have fun, learn and grow during the summer months. The summer offers a variety of enrichment activities designed to promote peer-to-peer socialization, foster relationship building and support individual growth. Camper must be able to interact in a 3:1 participant to staff ratio; Parent or guardian must complete all required documentation; Payment is due at enrollment to ensure a slot.
HERN Summer Circle of Fun & Enrichment (SCFE) has been running since 2001. Students participate in many activities, such as poetry writing, arts and crafts, acting, and fieldtrips. These activities are based on our five core themes - respect, responsibility, honesty, discipline, and citizenship.This program is free for students ages 5 to 14 whom are living in Boston and its surrounding communities. However, priority is given to children who live in shelters or that are temporarily without a home. All students are eligible to get free bus transportation to and from our designated pick-up sites. We also provide them with daily breakfast and lunch, school supplies, backpacks, and t-shirts. Applications due end of June, but space is limited.
