The Mission Hill School has fostered relationships with many organizations outside of the public school system. Some of these groups and individuals work directly with the students and faculty, and some are less involved in the day-to-day life of the school, and instead focus more outwardly on the enormous and ongoing task of education reform.

The Center for Collaborative Education
The mission of the Center for Collaborative Education (CCE) is to improve student learning in K-12 public schools and districts by promoting educational reform that is focused on school and system-wide change. The Coalition of Essential Schools
The Coalition of Essential Schools (CES) is a national network of schools, regional centers, and a national office, working to create schools where intellectual excitement animates every child's face, where teachers work together to get better at their craft, and where all children flourish, regardless of their gender, race, or class.
The Farm School, in beautiful, rural, northern Massachusetts is a working farm which opens it’s doors to over 1,500 urban school children each year, in an effort to teach them about the land and the importance of farming. The Mission Hill School has sent most of our students (of all age groups) and staff to visit and work here each year. It is a great experience, so great in fact, that the faculty had their staff retreat here last year!
The Boston Pilot Schools began in 1995 as a research and development arm of the Boston Public Schools, to develop best practices and to be a catalyst for change that could be transferred to the rest of the system.
